Olivia's Diary

25/08/19

On this day, He told me to start packing my things and prepare to relocate. I can't explain to you how shocked and devastated I am at this moment. I just moved in here few months ago, it was hard at first, but then I got along, now He wants me to move just when I'm settling in. Can someone just plead with Him for me? I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO GO! He knows how much I love Him, He likewise says He loves me, but tell me, how does this signify love, how?

After reading this part of Olivia's Diary, I became so emotional because I could relate with that feeling of being severed from what you love, the discomfort and pain that comes from losing something so precious and valuable. Come to think of it, this "He", this person who wants Olivia to relocate must be a very strong force in her life, it seems she does not really have a choice. Anyway, life happens, moments like this do come, moments that never announce their arrival, moments that shut down everything, moments that leave you with mixed feelings, actions and reactions.

Moments like this;

Mr. Donald had just finished having a nice time with his family when a call came in notifying him of his unexpected transfer! He had just been transferred few months back to the state where his family is, but why on earth would they have to transfer him out again? I bet you, his wife is the least person who wants to hear this now...

Feyisara's wedding was set to hold in 2 weeks time, but here comes an unexpected shocking call;

Caller: Hello is that Miss Feyisara on the line?

Feyisara: Yes, Please.

Caller: Weeee...are sorry to inform you that your fiancé was involved in a ghastly motor accident that claimed his life.

Feyisara: What! (Drops the phone and runs out).

As for Simi, he had dreamt of having his Master's abroad all his life. It was so certain, not until a while ago when his mother broke the news to him;

Simi's Mum: Simi I am so sorry, you may have to pend your dream of having your Masters abroad for now. Due to the economic situation of the country, I won't be able to afford it. I am so sorry my darling (moves closer to give Simi a hug).

Yes, there's no doubt that moments like these are inevitable in life. Nevertheless, how do we move on? How do we still find Joy? Yes, do you remember that widow (llKings 2:1-6)? The one who lost her husband, the one creditors were after, in short nothing was working. But then Prophet Elisha asked, "What do you have?" Remember, all she had left was a jar of oil and that was all she needed to move on.

Rather than just cry and sulk over what's lost, why don't you find a reason to move on? Be still and listen to what the Master has to say because this is never the end He promised.

"Could it be that the Lord hides next season's harvest in what you have left? Could it be that your miracle is never in what you lost, but in what you have left? Could it be that the Master has not placed value where we have?"_ TD JAKES

Times like these are very hard but God sees us through. As TD Jakes sited, maybe the miracle is in what is left
